Day 1: Manali Sarchu (230 Kms)
Drive across the 3990 Mtrs high rohtang pass. Enjoy the view of the snow covered ranges. The road depends till Koksar, and then drive along the Chandra river. Then cross the town of Keylong, and across 4890 mts high Baralacha pass. Our overnight stay will be in luxury tents at Sarchu which is at an elevation of 4290 metres.
Day 2: Sarchu to Tso Moriri ( 300 Kms)
Today drive from Sarchu into the state of J&K. Then there are two passes tone crossed today. Lachung La ( 5059 metres) and Nakeela ( 4740 metres). The famous 22 hairpins known as Gata loops fall on this route. Then we reach a broad 40 kms long plains which is known as More plains. From here a road bifurcates towards the right towards Tsokar. You cross the village of Puga on the way. Then after crossing a big hillock you reach Tso Moriri. Overnight stay in Tent/ Homestay near a place which has view of the lake.
Day 3: Tso Moriri to Hanle (158 Kms)
Start the day early and cross right from Loma bend. Your permits will be verified here. Hanley at 4500 metres has one of the highest astronomical observatory here. Overnight stay in Tents/homestay.
Day 4: Hanle to Spangmik ( 180 Kms)
Drive across Loma bend, Chushul and Rezang La. Rezang La is famous for the famous china war of 1962. It has a war memorial dedicated to 13 kamoan here. in the evening reach The village of spangmik, which is beside the great Panggong Lake. Overnight stay in a cottage at spangmik.
Day 5: Spangmik to Diksit ( 160 Kms)
Drive across 17582 feet Changla and 16000 feet warm La pass into the valley of Shyok. Visit the Diskit monastery. Overnight stay at a homestay in Diskit.
Day 6: Diskit to Turtuk ( 90 Kms)
After breakfast visit the sand dunes at Hundar, and have a ride on the rare double humped camels. Then head towards Turtuk , which is the last village on the Indo baltistan border. Overnight stay at a home stay in Turtuk.
Day 7: Turtuk to Leh (200 Kms)
Drive along the shyok valley back and then across the 18380 feet high Khardungla pass, which is the highest motorable road in the world. Overnight stay at Leh in a hotel.
Day 8: Leh.
Relax and bazaring in Leh.
Day 9: Leh to kargil (210 Kms)
Drive across the villages of lamayuru and Waka to the town of Kargil. Overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 10: Kargil to Srinagar (220 Kms)
Drive to the town of Srinagar, and overnight stay in a house boat.
Day 11: Srinagar to Jammu via Mughal road ( 354 Kms )
Drive along the old mughal road, along the villages of Pooch and Rajauri. Reach Jammu in the evening. Overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 12: Jammu to Delhi (575 Kms)
