Jalori Pass (Jalori Jyot) is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 10,800 ft (3.120m) above the sea level, situated in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. It connects the Satjuj Valley with the Thirhan valley of Banjar. Here is a Mahakali temple known as Jalori Mata, visited by thousands of devotees from the nearby villages. The place is famous for its long meadows and a pristine lake called Sewolsar. Sewolsar Lake is one and half hours walk from the Jalori pass. The trail goes through a forest of oak and Moru. You can feel the sounds of the leaves crushing below your feet as you hike up to the Lake. There is another route you can take toward the lake which follows the ridge line on the top of the mountain. Jalori pass is a perfect destination for spending your day in the wilderness.
